An autodidact and would-be Renaissance Man, Brandon actively studies language, philosophy, psychology, science, logic, theology, and design. He also coined the longest word in the English language at the tender age of sixteen.
Brandon is a writer from Alaska. He holds undergraduate degrees in Radio-Television-Film and Electronics, has formally studied Computer Science, and holds a Masters in English Literature. A serial entrepreneur, he has owned numerous technology companies and has spent his career as a programmer, network analyst, and technology consultant. He has also taught Computer Science and Cybersecurity.
His influences include Rod Serling, Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, J. R. R Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, J. Michael Straczynski, Michael Crichton, Douglas Adams, Patrick Rothfus, O. Henry, Guy de Maupassant, Fyodor Dostoevsky, William Blake, James Joyce, Charles Dickens, John Donne, George Orwell, Flannery O’Connor, and Ayn Rand. He’s never seen a great twist ending that he didn’t love and wish he’d thought of himself.
Influential small screen media include Lost, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica (2003), Breaking Bad, Dark (2007), Detectorists, Firefly, Doc Martin, and Downton Abbey. As for the big screen, he’s a lover of Sci-Fi, Hitchcock, psychological flicks, foreign film, and the Classics of the 1930s and 1940s when character was king. He’s impatiently awaiting the day AI will create a brand new movie starring Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Myrna Loy, and Ginger Rogers.
Brandon collects tools, fine art, passport stamps, cats, and any bit of random knowledge that might one day save his life. He’s a true (not a wannabe) INTJ in Myers-Briggs and an Enneagram 5. He’s passionate about books, film, music, and all forms of knowledge. He plays guitar, bass, and piano with equal devotion and incompetence. He’s been a writer and lyricist since the ’90s.
