“It had a certain Ray Bradbury quality to it…I found your attention to detail impressive, too.” – Eric
“I thought it was a superb spiritual-sci-fi alchemy, and the twist at the end truly caught me off-guard.” – Dave
“The last two paragraphs of the story were brilliant! I was vaguely reminded of the style of Isaac Asimov.” – Donna
“I thought Doppelganger was marvelous, tragic and beautiful.” – David W.
“Doppelgangers was awesome. The story (which was detailed so finely I could see everything happening) hooked me and kept me reading right until the end. And what an ending! The story was convincing and real.” – Lance
I especially like the element of suspense and the way you build it up, slowly but logically. I get a good sense of character, particularly from Jackson and Ramon. I also like the dialog — it feels real. It fits the intelligence/education level of the characters and I can tell a difference when each speaks, not to mention that people really speak that way. Great job and please keep it up. – Rich
I liked the story very much for its vivid language using metaphors and similes and describing nearly everyday situations. As my pupils liked it as well, I hope they will use it to improve their expressive capacity, something they are lacking considerably. – Roman
I find your work compelling and filled with intrigue. Finish Golgotha, please. I’m looking forward to what happens and how it ends!!! – Patricia
I was hanging on the edge of my seat. You really captured the moment and made it real. I could almost feel my skin bloat and my eyes unfocus from lack of air. I really loved some of the similes, “unconsciously tugging at his open collar like a boy noosed with a Sunday tie.” – Tom
This seems like a water-torture of sorts, dripping little bits out on me at a time. You entirely have me in your writerly grasp, and I’m desperate to know what happens next for the very reason that I have no idea. I keep thinking I know where you’re going and then you zig or zag. I know, patience is a virtue, but come on! – David
